SYNOPSIS Webster Township Board Meeting
September 17, 2024, 7:00 P.M.
The Webster Township Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor John Kingsley on September 17, 2024, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor John Kingsley; Treasurer John Scharf; Trustees Dan Munzel, Shelly Vrsek, John Westman; Jeff Harms; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Deputy Clerk Donna Whitney; Zoning Administrator Sri Komaragiri and 13 citizens. Absent: Clerk Tonie Brovont
Motion to approve the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting held on August 20, 2024, as presented. Motion carried.
Motion to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.
Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented, as well as those anticipated bills received before our next meeting scheduled for October 15, 2024. Motion carried.
Motion to accept and file the Consent Agenda Reports as presented. Motion carried.
Discussion – Private Road Ordinance Draft Amendment.
Discussion – Road Committee Formation.
Postponed – Materials Management, Input to County.
Discussion – Credit Card Policy
Motion to set a Public Hearing to take place at the October 15, 2024 Board Meeting, to consider a variance request to upgrade an existing nonconforming private road to current standards, that provides access to 3676 W. North Territorial road, with the applicant providing a variance request letter and proof of easement. Motion carried.
Motion to approve making a partial payment on T&M Asphalt’s invoice #5258 in the amount of $17,520. Motion carried.
Motion to approve making a partial payment on T&M Asphalt’s invoice #5257 in the amount of $100,000. Motion carried.
Motion to postpose the Approval and Adoption of Webster Township Property Tax Levy (L-4029) until the October 15, 2024 Board Meeting. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:11 p.m. Motion carried.
