WEBSTER TOWNSHIP WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF WEBSTER TOWNSHIP EMPLOYMENT FINGE BENEFITS—GROUP HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE ORDINANCE NO. 26-01

At a regular meeting of the Webster Township Board, Washtenaw County Michigan, held at the Webster Township Hall on February 17, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., Board Member Savander moved to adopt the following Ordinance seconded by Board Member Brovont. Roll call vote: Savander, Brovont, Harms, Vrsek, Scharf all ayes, Munzel nay, DeAngelo absent, and ordinance declared adopted.

An ordinance to authorize the Township Supervisor and the Township Clerk to, in the name of the Township, make arrangements with a prepayment plan authorized to transact business within this State, insuring and covering 1 or more of the following under policies of group insurance or prepayment plan contracts, or both, covering dental care, and health, hospitalization, and medical and surgical service and expense insurance: (1) elected or appointed Township Officers and their dependents; and (2) full-time Township Employees and their dependents; to define those classes of elected or appointed Officers and Employees who shall be entitled to such benefits; to set forth the procedures for establishing annual contributions which the Township shall contribute to the premium or charges arising under such arrangement or contract for such benefits for specified Officers and Employees; to provide for the payroll deduction of contributions, if any, from Officers and Employees’ compensation; to provide a method for non-coverage of an Officer or Employee; to ratify and confirm the validity of any contract for such benefits in existence on the effective date of this ordinance; and to repeal all ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict herewith, including Ordinance 2-2002, the Webster Township Group Health and Dental Insurance Plan Ordinance.

THE TOWNSHIP OF WEBSTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN ORDAINS:

SECTION 3: DEFINITIONS

SECTION 4: OFFICIALS and EMPLOYEES COVERED

SECTION 5: ARRANGEMENT FOR PREPAYMENT PLAN COVERAGE; DIVISION OF PREMIUMS; OPT OUT RIGHTS; and COMPENSATION IN LIEU OF COVERAGE

SECTION 6: RATIFICATION

SECTION 7: REPEAL OF EXISTING ORDINANCE 2-2002

SECTION 8: ALL OTHER INCONSISTENCIES REPEALED

SECTION 9: SEVERABILITY

SECTION 10: PUBLICATION and EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance will be effective upon April 1, 2026.
