The Dexter baseball team finished SEC Red play with a three-game sweep of Bedford last week to finish 16-5 in the conference.
Garrett Sharp came through with a big bases loaded double to drive in three runs and give Dexter a 5-1 win in the opener Monday.
Sharp finished with two hits and three RBI to lead the offense. Davis Bennett had a hit and RBI and Larry Salisbury one hit for the Dreadnaughts.
Conor Sweeny struck out six and allowed three hits for the complete game win.
The second game saw Chance Sobbry single in a run and Salisbury rip a run-scoring double in the opening inning for a 3-0 lead and Dexter would cruise to a 7-1 win.
Cole Novara struck out four and earned the win on the mound, while Sharp tossed 2 2/3 innings of hitless relief for the Dreads.
Sobbry led the offense with three hits and an RBI.
Bennett finished with two hits and two RBI, while Sharp had two hits and a run scored. Cooper Arnedt and Salisbury each had a hit and RBI, Noah Pitts a hit and run scored, and Cole Robeson one hit for Dexter.
The Dreadnaughts built an 11-2 lead in the third game and held off a late Bedford rally to finish the sweep with an 11-10 win.
Bennett had a huge game at the plate with three hits, including a home run and four RBI.
Sharp had three hits and two RBI, and Sobbry three hits and an RBI. Noah Fernando had two hits and an RBI, Carter Haist two hits and an RBI, Pitts and Arnedt a hit and RBI each, Novar and Robeson a hit and run scored each.
Mason McAllister earned the win on the mound with three strikeouts.
Dexter improved to 24-8 overall on the season.
