The Planning Commission will meet in Meeting Hall at Township Hall at 827 N. Zeeb Road. Members of the public may join either in person or view the livestream of the meeting by clicking the hyperlink “View Event” next to where meeting is listed on website. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public meeting of the Scio Township Planning Commission will be held at the Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD), 1819 S. Wagner Road, Vogel A, Ann Arbor, Michigan, on MONDAY, February 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM. During this meeting the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the following matters:

To consider zoning ordinance text amendments related to data center uses including:

Section 36-5, Definitions, defining the following terms related to data centers – data center, accessory data center, large-scale data center, small-scale data center.

Section 36-75, Schedule of Regulations, adding small-scale and large-scale data centers as conditional uses in the I-1, Limited Industrial zoning district, and allow accessory data centers as an accessory use to an approved permitted use in the I-1, Limited Industrial, C-2, General Commercial, C-3, Highway Commercial and C-4, Composite Commercial, and OS, Office Service zoning districts.

New Section 36-151, Data Centers outlining purpose and intent; applicability; use standards; parking requirements; sustainability and energy use requirements; emergency access; and decommissioning.

Any person having interest in said Township or their duly appointed representatives shall there and then be heard at the above described meetings or adjournment thereat relative to any matters that should come before the Planning Commission.

Scio Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing

impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting/hearing upon 10 days notice to Scio Township.
