Dexter American Legion Honor Guard Pays Tribute

Dexter American Legion Honor Guard continued their long-established tradition of honoring our deceased veterans on this Memorial Day. On Monday morning, the Honor Guard visited Forest Lawn, St. Andrews, St. Joseph, and Webster-Church cemeteries to conduct short ceremonies which included a solemn prayer, 3 rifle volleys, and a bugle playing "Taps". With no fanfare, these Dexter veterans paid tribute to all those who have died while serving their country, as well as, remembering the veterans no longer with us, who served to protect the rights of all Americans. Memorial Day ceremonies were concluded at noon by returning the American flag to full staff in Monument Park downtown Dexter.
