Peter M. Moroz, 81, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 under the wonderful care of hospice nurses. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 13, 1944 to the late Peter Moroz and Geraldine (Skoblekoff). Peter married Nancy Payne Pielsticker on June 20, 1992.
Pete graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL He served in the army for three years and traveled the world as he was stationed in Vietnam (therefore a member of the VFW), South Korea, and Germany. After serving his country that he loved, he became a journeyman electrician working for AT&T for over 40 years. He enjoyed skydiving, volunteering, fishing, hunting, and sport shooting at the Dexter Moose range. His greatest joy was spending time with and being a mentor to his grandsons.
Along with his wife, Nancy, Pete is survived by his sister, Marilyn, step children, Liz Pielsticker (Timothy Shinn), Rob Pielsticker (Emmy Handen); step grandsons, Nathan Shinn, Brendan Shinn, and three nieces and one nephew.
