Lima Twp: Notice of Voter Registration

NOTICE OF VOTER REGISTRATION

FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2022

LIMA TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Lima Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Lima Township Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms may be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com.

The last day to register to vote in the November Election in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, October 24, 2022.

After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.497) with the Township Clerk, Elaine Bater, who will be available at the Township Office, 12172 Jackson Rd., Dexter, MI 48130; (734) 475-2246, ext. 203 ebater@twp-lima.org

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10 AM – 1 PM for registrations and absentee ballots
Saturday, November 5th from 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM for registrations and absentee ballots
Election Day: Tuesday, November 8th
from 7 AM – 8 PM for same-day registrations and absentee ballots

District Library (Dexter) Millage Renewal: Shall the Dexter District Library be authorized to levy annually a renewal of the previously voted increase in the tax limitation, which expires in 2022, in an amount not to exceed .6620 mill against all taxable property within the Dexter District Library district for a period of six years for the purpose of providing funds for all district library purposes authorized by law? The estimate of the revenue the Dexter District Library will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the 2023 calendar year is approximately $1,072,000.
