SYLVAN TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN
NOVEMBER 8, 2022
TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF SYLVAN TOWNSHIP:
Notice is hereby given that a General Election will be held in Sylvan Township on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
The polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the
Sylvan Township Hall, 18027 Old US 12, Chelsea, MI 48118
The November 8, 2022 State General Election is being held to elect the following offices and decide the following proposals:
Michigan Governor
Michigan Secretary of State
Michigan Attorney General
Representative in Congress - 6th District
State Senator - 14th District
State Representative - 46th or 47th or 48th District
Members of the State Board of Education
Regents of the University of Michigan
Trustees of Michigan State University
Governors of Wayne State University
County Commissioner - 1st District
Township Supervisor (partial term ending 11/20/2024)
Township Clerk (partial term ending 11/20/2024)
Justices of the Supreme Court
Judges of the Court of Appeals - 3rd District
Judge of Circuit Court - 22nd Circuit
Judge of the District Court - 14A District
Trustees of Washtenaw Community College
Board Members of Chelsea School District
State Proposal 2022-1
A proposal to amend the state constitution to require annual public financial disclosure reports by legislators and other state officers and change State Legislator Term Limit to 12 total years in Legislature
State Proposal 2022-2
A proposal to amend the state constitution to add provisions regarding elections.
State Proposal 2022-3
A proposal to amend the state constitution to establish new individual right to reproductive freedom, including right to make all decisions about pregnancy and abortion; allow state to regulate abortion in some cases; and forbid prosecution of individuals exercising established right.

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio and Braille formats. Absentee ballots are available for all elections. Registered voters may apply for an absentee ballot in person at the Sylvan Township Clerk’s office at 18027 Old US-12, Chelsea Michigan or online at
