Presentation
Council Member Iannelli, on behalf of the Human Rights Commission, presented on the upcoming panel discussion on Refugee Resettlement in Washtenaw County, which is co-sponsored by the Chelsea District Library and One World One Family. The event takes place on November 17th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the McKune Room inside the Chelsea District Library.

Council Business
1. Proclamation in Support of Family Court Awareness Month (submitted by Mayor Pacheco)
MOVED Ruddock SECONDED Feeney to table the request to proclaim November Family Court Awareness Month until further information is gathered. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
2. Zoning Board of Appeals Appointments (submitted by Mayor Pacheco)
MOVED Mehuron SECONDED Keaton to Appoint Jasen King to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a 3-year term ending September 30, 2025. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
MOVED Iannelli SECONDED Mehuron to Appoint George Kinzer to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a 3-year term ending September 30, 2025. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
3. Community Center Task Force preliminary report (submitted by Mayor Pacheco)
MOVED Feeney SECONDED Keaton to accept the preliminary Community Center Task Force report dated October 4, 2022 and to direct staff to further investigate recommended options, as outlined in the report. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
4. Discussion about Reinstatement of Commissions and Committees (submitted by Mayor Pacheco)
MOVED Keaton SECONDED Feeney to direct staff to draft proposal language for establishing the following new commissions: Housing, Sustainability, and Arts, Culture and Heritage to be brought to Council at the second Council meeting in January. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
5. Resolution to Authorize the City Manager to serve as the Member Authorized Representative for Michigan Public Power Agency (submitted by City Manager Atkinson)
MOVED Ruddock SECONDED Mehuron to appoint City Manager Atkinson as the new Member Authorized Representative for the Energy Services Project. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
