Chelsea: Public Hearing on Special Events Ordinance 1-24-23

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT

TO THE

CITY OF CHELSEA ZONING ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Chelsea Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing, as the statute provides, for amendment of the City of Chelsea Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 181).

The proposed text amendment is being requested by the City of Chelsea Planning Commission to amend Section 4.23 – Temporary Uses and Special Events to make the following changes:

Delete the text of Section 4.23.B, and replace with “Special Events shall comply with all applicable standards in Article VI: Special Events of the General Code of Ordinances.”

The zoning text amendment will be considered by the Chelsea Planning Commission on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Meeting to be held in the City Municipal Building (Council Chambers) located at 311 S. Main Street, Chelsea, MI. A Zoom link will be provided for members of the public who would like to attend remotely.

Signed, written comments concerning the text amendment will be accepted prior to the Planning Commission meeting, and will be included in the meeting packet. Comments should be addressed to the Chelsea Planning Commission, 305 S Main St, Suite 100, Chelsea, MI 48118.

Persons requiring reasonable accommodations for disabilities in order that the hearing be accessible to them are requested to notify the Chelsea Planning Commission Chairman no later than five business days prior to the date of the hearing of such disability.
