TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF SYLVAN TOWNSHIP, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the following ordinance was adopted by the Township Board of Sylvan Township at a regular meeting held on May 9, 2023.

ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY

IN SECTION 8 OF SYLVAN TOWNSHIP

ADOPTED: MAY 9, 2023

EFFECTIVE: JUNE 1, 2023

An ordinance to amend the Zoning Chapter of Sylvan Township including the Zoning Map as provided for in Chapter 30 of the Sylvan Township Code, to rezone certain split zoned property in Section 8 of the Township from the existing “AG” Agriculture District zoning classification and “LR” Low Density Residential District zoning classification to entirely the “LR” Low Density Residential District zoning classification; to provide an effective date; and to repeal all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.

ORDAINS:

SECTION 1

REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN SECTION 8 OF SYLVAN TOWNSHIP

The Zoning Chapter of Sylvan Township including the Zoning Map, as provided for in Chapter 30 of the Sylvan Township Code is hereby amended to rezone the following split zoned property from the “AG” Agriculture District zoning classification and “LR” Low Density Residential District Zoning Classification to entirely the “LR” Low Density Residential District zoning classification:

Tax parcel Nos. in Section 8 of Sylvan Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan: F-06-08-200-006 and F-06-08-200-042.

SECTION 2

SEVERABILITY

Should any section, clause or provision of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional, illegal or of no force and effect by a court of competent jurisdiction, then and in that event such portion thereof shall not be deemed to affect the validity of any other part or portion of this Ordinance.

SECTION 3

EFFECTIVE DATE AND
REPEAL

This Ordinance shall take effect on the 8th day following publication, after adoption by the Township Board. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed.
