Council Business

1. City Manager Candidate Selection Process (Mayor Pacheco)

MOVED Wiseley SECONDED Keaton to extend a conditional offer of employment to Marty Colburn contingent on a background check and negotiation on behalf of the city committee including the Mayor, Mayor Pro-Tem, and City Attorney. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

2. Community Wellness Pilot Teen Membership Contribution (Mayor Pacheco)

MOVED Feeney SECONDED Ruddock to approve a $1,500 contribution from the Community Mental Health and Public Safety Millage funds to the collaborative effort of the City of Chelsea, the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation, and the Chelsea School District, to offer a pilot teen membership to the Wellness Center and some school recreation facilities at a reduced rate this August 2023. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

3. Purchase of HVAC System for Police Department (Chief Kazyak)

MOVED Mehuron SECONDED Keaton to approve the quote from Haley Mechanical for Phase 1 of the HVAC replacement system for the Police Department Building in the amount of $29,375.00. All Ayes. Motion carried.

Closed Session

MOVED Ruddock SECONDED Feeney to move into closed session to consider material exempt from discussion or disclosure by state or federal statue pursuant to MCL 15.268 Sec 8 (h). Roll Call Vote. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

MOVED Feeney SECONDED Wiseley to move out of Closed Session. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

4. Direct City Attorney to Handle the Material Discussed in Closed Session

MOVED Ruddock SECONDED Feeney to direct the City Attorney to handle the material discussed during closed session. All Ayes. Motion carried.
