USE OF COMPRESSION BRAKES (JAKE BRAKES)

ORDINANCE NO. 183

The City of Chelsea approved Ordinance No. 183 on July 24, 2023, to add Article VIII. Use of Compression Brakes (Jake Brakes), Sections 30-292 through 30-299, to Chapter 30 Traffic and Vehicles, of the City Code. This is an ordinance regulating the use of vehicle engine compression braking in designated areas within the City of Chelsea and to provide penalties for the violation of said ordinance.

A copy of the Ordinance may be inspected at the City of Chelsea Offices, 305 South Main Street, Suite 100, Chelsea, Michigan 48118, during regular business hours, 8:00am to 6:00 pm on Monday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, except for legal holidays.
