Linda Kay Austin (Schiller) passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023. She was with Mike, her husband of 51 years, and her family.
Linda was born on December 2nd, 1946, to Alvin and Edin “Faye” Schiller and grew up in Chelsea, Michigan, and even though she lived in many places, she always considered it home. She never missed a sporting event that her boys played. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a rabid University of Michigan fan and could be seen sporting their colors wherever she went. In her later years, she enjoyed watching the birds from her back porch, especially the hummingbird, and spending time with her family.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Alvin and Enid “Faye” Schiller, her son John Craft, granddaughter Katie Craft, her sisters Lois, Pat, and Barbara, and brothers, David and Glen. She is survived by her husband, Michael Austin, her sons, Jeffrey and his wife, Sherri Craft, Jason and his wife, Amy, and their two sons, Trevor and Logan Austin and her late son John Craft’s children John Jr, Samantha, and Christina.
Linda has requested to be cremated and asked that no event be planned. Her ashes will be buried at the Schiller family plot in the Chelsea Cemetery at a future date.
