MEETING SYNOPSIS – JUNE 6, 2023 REGULAR MEETING

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. All members present. Consent agenda approved. Meeting agenda, as amended, approved. The Board took action to: approve the minutes from the May 9, 2023 Regular and Special meetings, approve accounts payable, remove from consideration a team building proposal by Lew Bender and acknowledge the township operating millage of .9329 mils and the bond millage of 4.4 mils. Meeting adjourned at 7:52 pm.

MEETING SYNOPSIS – JUNE 21, 2023 SPECIAL MEETING

Meeting called to order at 10:04 a.m. All members present. The Board took action to hire Doug Jackson to the position of Planning Commission Recording Secretary. The Board discussed but took no action on township security cameras and the Chelsea Interconnect System. Meeting adjourned at 11:52 a.m.

MEETING SYNOPSIS – JULY 11, 2023 REGULAR MEETING

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. Members Kennedy, Nimke, Branham and Koseck present; member Schultze absent. Consent agenda, as amended, approved. Meeting agenda, as amended, approved. The Board took action to: approve meeting minutes from the June 6, 2023 Regular meeting and the June 21, 2023 Special meeting; approve an amended Invoice Approval Policy; approve a lease agreement with Adams Outdoor Billboard; approve a contract with AireServ for replacement of a township hall air conditioning unit; and approved a revised Phase II Sylvan Crossing site plan, pending approval by the Chelsea Area Fire Authority, if a review is required. The Board tabled the following agenda items: Washtenaw County Bond Contribution discussion, Freedom of Information Act Policy and Electronic Mail/Email Usage policy. Meeting adjourned at 8:32 pm.

MEETING SYNOPSIS – JULY 20, 2023 SPECIAL MEETING

Meeting called to order at 9:30 a.m. All members present. The Board met in closed session from 9:40 am to 10:50 am to discuss a confidential attorney-client memo. The Board approved the following: the Township Supervisor will write a written apology to the Townsends from the Township, reflecting that personal opinions or views that were expressed that may have had the appearance of representing the Board, which they did not; a written admonishment in the employee’s file, for using her moniker as the Zoning Administrator on social media; the Board will look into and possibly adopt an ethics ordinance and policy and a social media policy. Meeting adjourned at 11:05 am.
