Synopsis of Regular Meeting Minutes

September 11, 2023

Supervisor Luick opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Board members present were Duane Luick, Dale Luick, Teresa Reynhout, Nanette Havens, and Greg McKenzie.

The evening agenda was approved as presented. The Board approved the consent agenda: Minutes of the August 14, 2023 board meeting, accounts payable in the amount of $148,325.15, and payroll of $12,964.60 with a correction to add trustees.

Reports were given. Under old business, there was a report and discussion of the building site at 1 Lima Center Road. A report and discussion on renovating the existing town hall at 11452 Jackson Road. No action was taken

Under new business, a motion was made by McKenzie to authorize the clerk to sign an agreement to enter the Washtenaw County Early Voting Plan. Motion failed. Motion by McKenzie, seconded by Dale Luick to set a meeting on October 2, 2023, to take action on the early voting plan. Motion carried. Motion by McKenzie, seconded by Dale Luick to authorize the Clerk and Deputy Clerk to attend Michigan Township Association clerk Training September 25-27, as requested, and related expenses in an amount not to exceed $1200. Ayes: Duane Luick, Dale Luick, and G. McKenzie. Nays: N. Havens. Under public comment, opinions were stated for building new on the 1 Lima Center Road location vs. remodeling and adding to the existing town hall. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
