LIMA TOWNSHIP – BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Synopsis of Regular Meeting Minutes

November 13, 2023 7:00 PM

Supervisor Luick opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Board members present were Du Luick, Da Luick, T. Reynhout, N. Havens, and G. McKenzie. The agenda was approved as presented. Motion by Da Luick, seconded by T Reynhout to approve the consent agenda for Minutes of October 9, 2023, Payroll in the amount of $12,549.68, and Accounts Payable in the amount of $157,927.29. Ayes: Du Luick, Da Luick, N Havens, and T Reynhout. Nay: G. McKenzie.

In First Public Comment, B Mulliner was given permission to clean and repair the tapestry hanging in the town hall due to evidence of recurring mold. Mulliner recommended a method of sealing the tapestry.

Reports were given. Master Plan Review documents were submitted to the board. Marie Gress was appointed Director of WAVE. E. GreenLeaf reported on a quote of $1.2 mil to build a new hall for the township on the 16.3 acres at 1 Lima Center Road.

Motion was tabled to approve plan for renovation and addition to current town hall.

Motion passed to release $200,000 from the Thorton Farms Escrow account upon completion of a water storage tank.

Motion passed to authorize Supervisor and Clerk to negotiate and enter into an agreement for accounting services with the Woodhill Group.

Motion passed to approve audit proposal submitted by Siegfried Crandall.

In Final Public Comment, a resident stated Thorton Farms would soon represent one third of the population of Lima Township.
