Mayor Pacheco spoke about the recently held Veterans Day events and thanked the many volunteers and supporting agencies that made the day successful. She also stated that the committee that planned the event was looking for more participants.
Mayor Pacheco presented certificates of appreciation to staff members of the City of Chelsea who have served in the military.

Clerk Sebestyen swore in newly elected Council Members Beth Morris and George and returning incumbent Eric Keaton.
MOTION Iannelli SECONDED Keaton to approve the proclamation recognizing Native American contributions and history. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Mehuron SECONDED Ruddock to adopt the Resolution to Appoint Jason Freeman as Member Representative, and Derik Bollinger as Alternate Member Representative, to the Chelsa Area Construction Agency Board of Directors. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Keaton SECONDED Merkel to adopt the Resolution recognizing Chelsea Hockey Club as a non-profit organization for the purpose of obtaining a charitable gaming license. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Iannelli SECONDED Merkel to adopt the Resolution for adopting the provisions of Act 88, public Act of 1961, to become a reciprocal unit under the Reciprocal Retirement Act.
MOTION Keaton SECONDED Merkel to approve the service contract between the City of Chelsea and the Huron River Watershed Council. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Mehuron SECONDED Iannelli to approve the City Council meeting calendar for 2024. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Ruddock SECONDED Merkel to adopt the resolution assigning delinquent stormwater bills to the City of Chelsea Winter 2023 tax roll. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Keaton SECONDED Morris to approve the upfitting quote from Mid-Michigan Emergency Equipment for $15,500.18. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Keaton SECONDED Iannelli to approve the purchase order for the replacement gate payable to Clery Fence Company for a total of $9360.00. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Mehuron SECONDED Merkel to approve a purchase order for the total amount of $6,395.00 payable to International Control Equipment for the purchase of a power gate opener. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Merkel SECONDED Keaton to accept the quote from Ray Construction Co., Inc in the amount of $20,940.00. All ayes. Motion carried.
