Mayor Pro-Tem Iannelli opened the public hearing at 7:07 p.m.
City Manager Colburn provided Council Members with a background on how the rate study was performed by Utility Financial Services (UFS). He spoke about the cost and expenses of day-to-day business, infrastructure costs, and projections into the next five years. Manager Colburn spoke about the eight rates that were broken out in the study.
Last, he informed the public about where to find the information related to the rate study.
Mayor Pro-Tem Iannelli closed the public hearing at 7:16 p.m.
Council Business
MOTION Merkel SECONDED Kekaton to appoint Ron Livengood and Rob Mida to the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board for terms ending December 31, 2026. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Ruddock SECONDED Merkel to appoint Alexander Rasegan to the Zoning Board of Appeals with a term ending September 30, 2026. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION Merkel SECONDED Keaton to adopt Resolution #2024-1 to Increase Chelsea Light & Power Electric Utility Rates and Fees effective March 1, 2024. All ayes. Motion carried.
