NOTICE OF ADOPTION

Notice is hereby given that the Township Board for Sylvan Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan adopted Ordinance 24-001; that provides an amend to Chapter 30 Zoning, Division 2 Site Plan Review; at a regular meeting held on March 5, 2024. Summaries of the amendments are below.

Divisions 2 Site Plan Review

Section 30-87 Administrative Site Plan Review: This section provides regulations to determine if a project is eligible for ASPR, the process for determining the eligibility of a project, the review and approval process for projects eligible for ASPR, and the significance of approval of a project through the ASPR process.

A copy of the full text of the new Zoning Ordinance amendments may be inspected or purchased at the Township Offices (18027 Old US-12, Chelsea, MI 48118). The new Zoning Ordinance Amendments will also be posted on the Township’s website at

The adopted amendment shall become effective 7 days after the notice is published, unless referendum procedures are initiated under MCL 125.3402 within seven (7) days after publication of this notice of adoption. If referendum procedures are initiated, the ordinance shall take effect in accordance with MCL 125.3402.
