NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE

CITY OF CHELSEA ZONING ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Chelsea Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing, as the statute provides, for amendment of the City of Chelsea Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 181). The requested change would revise the Zoning Map from R2 (Two-Family Residential) to DT (Downtown – Mixed Use) in the area described as:

511 Congdon Street

Tax Code # 06-06-12-435-008

The zoning text amendment will be considered by the Chelsea Planning Commission on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Meeting to be held in the City Municipal Building (Council Chambers) located at 311 S. Main Street, Chelsea, MI. A Zoom link will be provided for members of the public who would like to attend remotely.

Signed, written comments concerning the text amendment will be accepted until 4:00pm on April 16, 2024. Comments may be addressed to the Chelsea Planning Commission, 305 S Main St, Suite 100, Chelsea, MI 48118. Comments may alternatively be emailed to planning@city-chelsea.org.

Persons requiring reasonable accommodations for disabilities in order that the hearing be accessible to them are requested to notify the Chelsea Community Development Department no later than five (5) business days prior to the date of the hearing of such disability.
