The Dexter Community Band honors masked, caped and other ordinary crusaders who keep us safe from Bad Guys at its spring concert.

People who want a break from dandelion farming are encouraged to come to the Center for Performing Arts in Dexter High School, 2200 North Parker Road, Dexter, for the 3 p.m. concert on May 21. Admission is free.

The 80-person group, now in its 41st year, is under the direction of William W. Gourley. Stephen West, professor of music at the University of Michigan, will serve as announcer.
