NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED
ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO AMEND
CITY COUNCIL PER MEETING STIPEND
Notice is hereby given that the Dexter City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at 3515 Broad St., Dexter, MI 48130, for the purpose of hearing public comment regarding a proposed amendment to Chapter 2, Article 2, Section 31 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan as follows with removals being stricken and additions being underlined:
The mayor shall receive the sum of $275.00 and each city council member shall receive the sum of $80.00
$90.00 paid from the general fund for each regular meeting of the city council attended by them during their term of office. No compensation shall be paid for a meeting not attended.
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective upon the date of commencement of the terms of City Council Members elected at the next regular election.

Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments. Written comments regarding the draft ordinance should be submitted to the City Manager’s Office at 8123 Main St., 2nd
Floor, Dexter, MI 48130 or via email to jbreyer@dextermi.gov, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2022.
Sign language interpreter, or other assistance, may be provided upon request to the City Clerk, jbreyer@dextermi.gov, at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Minutes of all meetings are available on the City website, www.dextermi.gov.
