ORDINANCE NO. 2022 – 2
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CITY COUNCIL PER MEETING STIPEND
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Dexter, Michigan called to order by Mayor Keough on, August 8, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at 3515 Broad St., Dexter, MI 48130.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Arab, Fisher, Griffin, Hubbard, Michels, and Keough
MEMBERS ABSENT: Cousins
The following ordinance amendment was offered by Member Fisher and supported by Member Michels:
The City of Dexter Ordains:
Chapter 2, Article 2, Section 31 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan, is hereby amended as follows:
The mayor shall receive the sum of $275.00 and each city council member shall receive the sum of $80.00 $90.00 paid from the general fund for each regular meeting of the city council attended by them during their term of office. No compensation shall be paid for a meeting not attended.
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective upon the date of commencement of the terms of City Council Members elected at the next regular election.
Consistency and Repeal: All existing Ordinances or part of Ordinances are to be interpreted as consistent with this Ordinance and State Law. Any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with any of the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Geographic area: This Ordinance shall have effect in all geographic areas of the City of Dexter to the fullest extent allowed by law.
