NOTICE OF ELECTION for the GENERAL ELECTION

TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2022

Notice is hereby given that a General Election will be held in Webster Township on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter Michigan 48130

The last day to register for the November 8, 2022 General Election in any manner other than in-person with the Webster Township Clerk is Monday, October 24, 2022. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector must register to vote in-person with proof of residency (MCL 168.497) at the Webster Township Clerk’s office: 5665 Webster Church Rd. Dexter MI 48130. Voter Registrations and Absentee Ballot Applications can be obtained at the Webster Township Hall, at our website webstermi.us or online at mi.gov/vote and can be returned in person, by mail, placed in the Webster Township drop box, or emailed to elections@webstermi.us

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRIMARY ELECTION IS TO VOTE ON THE FOLLOWING:

Michigan Governor and Lieutenant Governor; Michigan Secretary of State; Michigan Attorney General; Representative in Congress 6th District; State Senator 14th District; Representative in State Legislature 48th District; Member of State Board of Education; Regent of the University of Michigan; Trustee of Michigan State University; Governor of Wayne State University; County Commissioner 2nd District; Justice of Supreme Court; Judge of Court of Appeals 3rd District; Judge of Circuit Court 22nd Circuit; Judge of District Court 14A District; Board of Trustees Member, Washtenaw Community College; Dexter Community Schools Board Member; Pinckney Community Schools Board Member; Whitmore Lake Public Schools Board Member; Ann Arbor Public Schools Board Member; Ann Arbor District Library Board Member; Dexter District Library Millage Renewal; Whitmore Lake Public School District Operating Millage Proposal.

DEXTER DISTRICT LIBRARY – Library Millage Renewal

Shall the Dexter District Library, Counties of Washtenaw and Livingston, be authorized to levy annually a renewal of the previously voted increase in the tax limitation, which expires in 2022, in an amount not to exceed .6620 mill ($0.6620 on each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable property within the Dexter District Library district for a period of six (6) years, 2023 to 2028, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for all district library purposes authorized by law? The estimate of the revenue the Dexter District Library will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the 2023 calendar year is approximately $1,072,000.

WHITMORE LAKE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT - Operating Millage Proposal

This proposal will allow the school district to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance. Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in Whitmore Lake Public School District, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties, Michigan, be increased by 21 mills ($21.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 10 years, 2022 to 2031, inclusive, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and .0542 mill is levied in 2022 is approximately $7,080 (this will replace existing millage and also adds additional millage that will be levied only to the extent necessary to restore millage lost as a result of the reduction required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963)?

reports by legislators and other state officers and change state legislator term limit to 12

Proposal 22-3

A proposal to amend the state constitution to establish new individual right to reproductive

freedom, including right to make all decisions about pregnancy and abortion; allow state to

regulate abortion in some cases; and forbid prosecution of individuals exercising
