SCIO TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

SYNOPSIS SEPTEMBER 27, 2022

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Supr. Hathaway at 827 N. Zeeb Road.

Present: Hathaway, Flintoft, Knol, Palmer, McLaughlin

Absent: Brazeau, Jerome

Approved the payment of claims presented and accepted the previous check run report.

Approved the 2022 tax rate request to be levied on the 2022 winter tax roll.

Authorized $27,000 for professional services related to the Gelman Cleanup.

Approved a wage increase for Utility Technician Matt Donajkowski to $56,870.32 per year.

Approved Site Plan #220032, Wolverine Pickleball, to construct at 37,250 square foot indoor recreation facility, and to approve allocation of 5.7 REUs.

Approved Conditional Use #20002, Herron Farms Conditional Land Use for an “agricultural commercial/tourism business”.

Approved OA-PUD #22003/PSP#22008, Crossroads Preliminary PUD with conditions.

Approved $6,500 of budgeted funds for recording secretary services for the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Commission meetings.

Approved the change pay method for the 2.0 FTE positions of Utilities Technician I, and the 1.0 FTE of Utilities Technician II from hourly to salary.

Approved a professional services agreement with Plante Moran to perform an annual audit of the 21/22 fiscal year for $62,420.
