Reaction to recent Letter to the Editor

In response to the recent Letter to the Editor, submitted by John Dunn - a well respected community member…..

I believe Mr. Dunn's letter stood out above and beyond all of the great letters that have been submitted to the local papers over the past several weeks with respect to the upcoming Chelsea School Board election. His letter was both informative, as well as respectful as he aims to highlight the contrast in the two camps. While his letter has generated an overwhelming amount of praise, there are a few community members that have taken to social media to voice their disproval, referring to his letter as being "hateful" and are unjustly using his letter as yet another excuse to continue with their hateful rhetoric and name calling.

For those that take offense to Mr. Dunn's letter, I only have this to say....if you truly believe in and support the platform that your candidates represent, then why on earth would you take offense to his effort to break the differences down in a format that is easy for everyone to understand? No one should feel threatened by Mr. Dunn's letter - in the end, the voters will decide the fate of this very important election and as I see it, Mr. Dunn did all eight candidates and their respective support base a favor by breaking down the issues in a clear and concise format.
