Scio Twp: EGLE Notice of Fill in Forested Wetland
The applicant proposes to: Place 615 cubic yards of fill and structures in 0.09 acres of forested wetland for the construction of a new multifamily residential development and associated infrastructure.
Project Location: South Zeeb Road between Parkgrove and Woodgrove
Project Summary The project is located on 5.3 acres of land located south of Jackson Road on the east side of Zeeb Road, between Park Road and Polo Fields Drive, in the MR-2, Multiple Family Residential District in Scio Township, Washtenaw County. With 0.55 acres proposed as Right of Way dedication, net acreage is 4.75 acres and the limits of disturbance will be 3.95 Acres. The applicant is proposing 35 units, straight zoning with no variances under the Scio Township MR-2 Zoning Ordinance, although the maximum number of units allowed is 38 units. Each unit will be two stories with an attic loft. Site development in addition to the townhomes includes infrastructure: interior roads, sanitary sewer, water, electric, and stormwater management. Stormwater will be managed through constructed bioswales located along the property perimeter, rain gardens, and an underground infiltration basin. Regulated resources associated with this project include wetlands and floodplains. ASTI also addressed potential threatened and endangered species and species habitat.
