Webster Township Board Meeting
February 21, 2023, 7:00 P.M.
The Webster Township Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor John Kingsley on February 21, 2023, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor John Kingsley; Clerk Barb Calleja; Treasurer John Scharf; Zoning Administrator Sri Komaragiri; Trustees Dan Munzel, Jeff Harms, John Westman, Shelly Vrsek; Assessor Bill Sinkule; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Deputy Clerk Donna Whitney; and 8 citizens.
Motion to approve the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting held on January 17, 2023, as presented. Carried.
Motion to approve the agenda as amended, adding New Business item E, PDR boundary adjustment fee waiver. Carried.
Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented, as well as those anticipated bills received before our next meeting scheduled for March 21, 2023. Carried.
Motion to accept the Consent Agenda reports as presented, pulling out the Zoning Report as a verbal report. Carried.
Motion to amend a motion from the January 17, 2023 meeting, to allow us to spend up to $2500 for a Stryker Defibrillator, as recommended by the Dexter Area Fire Department. Carried.
Motion to accept the parking lot bid from Washtenaw Engineering in the amount of $37,800, and get a supplemental bid for parking lot lighting. Carried.
Discussion of FY 2024 Draft Budget. A Budget Public Hearing will take place at the March 21, 2023 Board Meeting.
Motion to adopt Policy No. 01-23, Webster Township Assessor Access Policy, as amended. Carried.
Discussion of 2022 Master Plan Implementation Matrix. A citizen’s Natural Features Committee will be discussed at the April 18, 2023 Board Meeting, along with a review of the rest of the matrix.
Motion
to approve the Natural River District Overlay letter and brochure for distribution to property owners. Carried.
Motion to waive the boundary adjustment fee for a conservation easement purchase. Carried.
Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:31 p.m. Carried.
