Sharon Township Ordinance Amendments

PUBLIC NOTICE

Township of Sharon, Washtenaw County, Michigan

Amendments to the Sharon Township Cemetery Ordinance, Noise Ordinance, Medical Marihuana Ordinance, and Ordinance Prohibiting Marihuana Establishments.

Public Notice is hereby given that the Township Board of Sharon Township has adopted Ordinance Amendments, summaries of which appear below.

Sharon Township has adopted an amendment to the Cemetery Ordinance, Chapter l, Article 2, Section 2.8, by revising the definition of permitted grave markers.

Sharon Township has adopted an amendment to the Noise Ordinance, Chapter lll, Article 4, Section 4.7, by adding a prohibition for exhaust brakes, compression release brakes, or similar that produce sound clearly audible more than fifty feet from the vehicle.

Sharon Township has adopted an amendment to the Medical Marihuana Facilities Ordinance, Chapter IV, Article 7, by removing the limitation to medical marihuana facilities and allowing state-licensed adult use marihuana facilities where there were existing medical marihuana facilities pursuant to the prior Medical Marihuana Facilities Ordinance. The Ordinance prohibiting Marihuana establishments other than medical marihuana, Chapter IV, Article 8, has been repealed.
