SCIO TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES SYNOPSIS MARCH 14, 2023

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Supr. Hathaway at 827 N. Zeeb Road.

Present: Hathaway, Flintoft, Knol, Kerry, Reiser, Palmer

Absent: Brazeau

Approved the payment of claims presented and accepted the previous check run report.

Approved minutes of Regular Meeting of February 28, 2023 as presented.

Approved the appointment of Liz Wiseman to the Parks, Preserves & Pathways committee to serve a term concurrent with her appointment on the Land Preservation Committee.

Approved the appointment of John Reiser as a non-voting ex officio Board of Trustee member to Parks, Preserves & Pathways committee.

Approved the seeking of bids for the construction of the Scio Ridge Road/Upland Drive sidewalk extension and bus stop improvements Phase One.

Approved the two question ballot language in a Resolution to Call for a Special Election on November 7, 2023 and to approve proposals for placement on ballot.

Adopted Resolution to Continue Retiree Health Benefits for Current Eligible Township Retirees.

Adopted MERS Retiree Health Funding Vehicle Uniform Resolution.

Chose the resolve clause in the Resolution to Fund Retiree Health Benefits for Current Eligible Township Retirees from the General Fund, and adopt Resolution as amended.

Adopted Resolution to Continue Retiree Health Benefits for Current Eligible Township Employees.

Adopted MERS Health Care Savings Program Participation Agreement.

Adopted the Contribution Addendum for MERS Health Care Savings Program.

Adopted Resolution to Fund Retiree Health Benefits for Current Eligible Township Employees with appropriations from the General Fund.

Accepted the proposal from OHM Advisors for the Park Road Paving and Pathway Improvements Conceptual Engineering Services proposal at a cost not to exceed $95,000 from the 2022 MEDC grant funds.
