SCIO TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES

SYNOPSIS APRIL 11, 2023

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Supr. Hathaway at 827 N. Zeeb Road.

Present: Hathaway, Reiser, Knol, Kerry, Palmer, Brazeau

Absent: Flintoft

Approved minutes of regular meeting of March 28, 2023.

Approved the payment of claims presented and accepted the previous check run report.

Approved Conditional Use #23002, 300 Jackson Plaza – Ann Arbor Indoor Golf.

Adopted the Michigan Liquor License Commission resolution recommending approval of the Ann Arbor Indoor Golf Class C Liquor License.

Authorized the contract with GRS for required valuation services for FYE23 and FYE24.

Approved conditional offer of employment to Chris Bailey for the position of IT Director at a salary of $75,000.

Authorized a contract with Top Grade Excavating in the amount of $8,000 budgeted from Fund 591.

Adopted amendments to the Employee Handbook relating to Holiday Closings Section 18 and Work Tim Lost Section 21.

Approved the amendment to the service contract with the Dexter Senior Center from $7,000 to $22,000 for services to Scio residents.

Approved the permit for a public fireworks display in Loch Alpine on June 24, 2023.

Approved the permit for a private fireworks display for Herron Farms on July 1, 2023.

Approved the agreement between the Scio Township DDA and the Washtenaw County Road Commission for 2023 road improvement projects.

Adopted the Resolution in support of a commercial building rehabilitation tax abatement at 300 N. Zeeb Road.

Approved the permit for a public fireworks display for Dexter Daze on August 11, 2023.
