SYNOPSIS Webster Township Board Meeting

July 18, 2023, 7:00 P.M.

The Webster Township Board Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor John Kingsley on July 18, 2023, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor John Kingsley; Clerk Barb Calleja; Treasurer John Scharf; Trustees Dan Munzel, Jeff Harms, John Westman, Shelly Vrsek; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; and 7 citizens.

Motion to approve the minutes of the Webster Township Board of Trustees Regular Meeting held on June 20, 2023 and the Webster Township Board of Trustees Special Meeting held on June 27, 2023, as presented. Carried.

Motion to approve the agenda as presented. Carried.

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and pay bills as presented, as well as those anticipated bills received before our next meeting scheduled for August 15, 2023. Carried.

Tonie Brovont has been appointed as the Deputy Treasurer.

Motion to accept the Consent Agenda Reports as presented. Carried.

Motion to appoint Nicole Rouech to the PDR Board to finish a term to end 12/23. Carried.

Motion to appoint to the Natural Features Committee with term endings listed: Kay Stremler 12/24, Cynthia Zuccharo 12/25, Mike DeAngelo 12/26 and Jason Fenzel 12/25. Carried.

Motion to enter into a contract with Insite and execute that contract. Carried.

Update parking lot. August 15, 2023 meeting.

Motion to approve the Dexter Historical Society Event Permit to hold Gordon Hall Days on Saturday, September 9, 2023 and Sunday, September 10, 2023. Carried.

Motion to postpone Licensed Home-Based Business Ordinance until the September 19, 2023 meeting. Carried.

Motion to pay the 2023 Huron River Watershed Council dues in the amount of $652.60. Carried.

Motion to approve the 2023 Tax Rate Request, Form L-4029, setting the millage rates to be levied at: Operating 0.6900, Public Safety 2.6000 and PDR 0.4735. Carried

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:18 p.m. Carried.
