The City of Dexter Downtown Development Authority and Tax Increment Financing Plan Public Hearing Notice

The City of Dexter Downtown Development Authority will conduct a public hearing on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. EDT, at the City Hall at 3515 Broad St., Dexter, MI 48130, for the purpose of hearing comments on the adoption of the City’s updated Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Tax Increment Financing Plans. The public hearing for the update of the DDA Plan will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The DDA Plan will be amended to reflect legal requirements per Public Act 57 of 2018. The DDA Plan includes updates to the Development Authority Proposed Improvements including Project Implementation Strategies and updates to the Tax Increment Financing Plans. The DDA Plan provides guidance to the DDA board and City Council in making future decisions related to district area improvement projects.

Copies of the proposed Plans are available for review at the City Hall during normal office hours. Those unable to attend the public hearings are invited to submit written comments to the Downtown Development Authority at the address noted above. This notice is provided pursuant to the requirements of Act 57 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 2018.

Public comment may be provided during the meeting, either in-person or virtually, submitted in writing at city offices, located at 3515 Broad Street, Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or emailed to the Office of Community Development maniol@dextermi.gov. All comments must be received no later than close of business the day of the meeting.

Anyone needing a sign language interpreter, or other assistance, must contact the City Manager jbreyer@dextermi.gov, at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Minutes of all meetings are available on the city website, www.dextermi.gov.
