January 16, 2024, at 6:00 P.M.
The Webster Township Special Meeting between the Webster Township Board of Trustees and the Washtenaw County Road Commission was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Supervisor John Kingsley on January 16, 2024, at the Webster Township Hall, 5665 Webster Church Road, Dexter, MI 48130. Members present: Supervisor John Kingsley; Clerk Barb Calleja; Treasurer John Scharf; Trustees Dan Munzel, Jeff Harms, John Westman, Shelly Vrsek; Assessor Bill Sinkule; Deputy Supervisor Rick Kleinschmidt; Deputy Clerk Donna Whitney; and 8 citizens.
Agenda-Discussion on road projects for FY 2025.
Proposed road projects by WCRC:
Joy Road, Jennings Road to Pavement-work to include drainage improvements, forestry, shaping the existing surface, and the application of 8” of 23A Limestone (C.I.P.) (approximately 5,400 tons) with associated dust control and project restoration. Estimated project cost: $183,000.00
Chamberlin Road, Huron River Drive to North Territorial Road- work to include drainage improvements and associated project restoration. Estimated project cost: $58,000.00
Gregory Road at Cobble Lane-Work to include drainage improvements, forestry, shaping the existing surface, and the application of 4” of 23A Limestone (C.I.P.) (approximately 700 tons) with associated dust control and project restoration.
Estimated project cost: $70,000.00
Additional information-The traffic signal at Webster Church Road & N. Territorial Road should be in by spring of 2024.
Local Matching funds have been increased for the calendar year to $75,717.
Requests from the Board to WCRC:
Traffic control studies & information on the process to turn a road into a primary road.
