SYNOPSIS SCIO TOWNSHIP REGULAR BOARD MEETING

January 9, 2024, 7:00 pm

Approved the minutes of the regular meeting of December 12, 2023.

Approved the payment of claims presented with addition of one invoice and accepted the previous check run report.

Renewed employee medical insurance plan through February 28, 2025.

Approved the purchase of Metron meters.

Approved the Poverty Exemption Guidelines for 2024.

Resolved to call for additional well-monitoring and expanded residential well-testing for 1,4 dioxane pollution.

Postponed action on Policy to Standardize the Process to Appoint Members to Township Committees to 2024 01 23 meeting.

Adopted Policy Requiring Boards, Committees, and Commissions to Follow Open Meetings Act.

Approved contract with new audit firm.

Authorized the purchase of a new Smeal tanker/pumper.

Approved design work for water tower.

Approved a review process to evaluate, enhance, and develop standard operating policies and procedures.

Approved change orders to the Scio Ridge/Upland Drive Project.

Resolved to appoint representatives to the Washtenaw Regional Resource Management Authority.
