NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006 (the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act), as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 7:00 pm. The public hearing will be held in City Council Chambers, located at 3515 Broad St, Dexter, MI, 48130.

The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a request submitted by the Dexter Community Schools to rezoning the property, located at 2505 Baker Road (08-08-06-400-018) from PF Public Facilities to VR-1 One Family Residential on the Official Zoning Map in the City of Dexter Zoning Ordinance.

The VR-1 zoning district allows single-family detached and two-family dwellings as permitted uses, and single-family attached and multiple-family dwellings as special land uses.

COM AT S 1/4 POST OF SEC, TH N 88 DEG 08' 30" E 133.47 FT IN S LINE OF SEC FOR PL OF BEG, TH N 88 DEG 08' 30" E 200 FT, TH N 0 DEG 53' WEST 105.9 FT, TH S 88 DEG 08' 30" W 200 FT, TH SOUTH 0 DEG 53' E 105.9 FT TO PL OF BEG, BEING PART OF SE 1/4 SEC 6 T2S-R5E 0.49 AC.

The application for rezoning is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 3515 Broad Street, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or on the City’s website: www.dextermi.gov.

Public comment may be provided during the meeting, either in-person or virtually, submitted in writing at city offices, located at 3515 Broad Street, Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or emailed to the Office of Community Development maniol@dextermi.gov. All comments must be received no later than close of business the day of the meeting.

Anyone needing a sign language interpreter, or other assistance, must contact the City Manager jbreyer@dextermi.gov, at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Minutes of all meetings are available on the city website, www.dextermi.gov.
