SYNOPSIS SCIO TOWNSHIP REGULAR BOARD MEETING

Approved the minutes of February 29, 2024.

Approved the payment of claims presented and accepted the previous check run report.

Approved the successful completion of the 90-day probationary period for Brandon McNiel, Aurora Northrup, Kevin Jeffery, Brandon Sears, and Sean McCormick.

Approved the publication of the spring issue of the Township newsletter.

Approved an agreement with the Daughters of the American Revolution regarding Popkins Cemetery.

Approved expenditure of ARPA funds to purchase service for data back-up.

Authorized funds for additional cabling at Township Hall.

Authorized funds for EMPCO to conduct oral board exams for Fire Department Captain and Lieutenant positions.

Adopted a resolution in support of the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run and related road closures.

Authorized the Township to request Congressional Directed Spending funding for Fire Department capital needs.

Authorized an agreement between the Downtown Development Authority and the Washtenaw County Road Commission to fund road paving.

Conducted a public hearing on PUD amendment and major change for the former Goodrich Theater site.

Approved PUD/OA#22008 Goodrich Theater PUD Major Amendment with conditions.

Approved SP#23018 Slim Chickens Detail Engineering Site Plan.

Authorized the Township to apply for a Community Energy management grant.

Adopted a resolution amending the FYE 2024 budget.

Adopted a resolution to establish the millage rate for the Fire Services Special Assessment District at 1.35.

Adopted a resolution approving the FYE 2025 budget and Authorized Positions.

Called a special meeting to discuss the N1D Digital Forensic Report for April 16, 2024, at 7 pm.
