Chelsea School District Call for Bids on Asbestos Abatement

Chelsea School District will receive sealed bid proposals until 2:00 p.m., on March 2, 2022, for the
following bid package: " Asbestos Abatement at North Creek Elementary School and South Meadows
Elementary School”. Bidding Documents may be obtained after February 16, 2022, from Nova
Environmental, Inc., 5300 Plymouth Rd. Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105 Tel. 734.930.0995 and at the prebid examination. A mandatory pre-bid examination of the buildings will be held at 1:00 p.m. on February
17, 2022, at South Meadows Elementary School, 335 Pierce St., Chelsea, Michigan 48118. Meet in the
Main Office. Contractors must wear a mask and comply with Chelsea School District Covid-19
requirements. All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach
this information to the bid. The bid will be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing
any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of
the Chelsea School District Board of Education or the Superintendent of Chelsea School District. All
bidders must disclose any relationship with any Iranian Company in compliance with Act No. 517 and
attach this information to the bid. The bid will be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement
disclosing any relationship with any Iranian Company that exists between the Owner or any Employee of
the bidder. The District will not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure
statement. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond by a T-listed bonding company licensed to do business
in the State of Michigan, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of (5%) of the bid amount
shall be submitted with bid proposal. Performance and Labor and Material Bonds will be provided upon
award. These projects are not subject to prevailing wages. Bids shall remain firm for acceptance for a
period of 60 days. Chelsea School District will not consider or accept late bids and reserves the right to
accept or reject any and/or all bids.
