NOTICE OF REGISTRATION for the ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2022 SCIO TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN
TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF SCIO TOWNSHIP:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Scio Township who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed or dropped off to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at mi.gov/vote.
The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local Clerk is Monday, July 18, 2022
After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the Scio Township Clerk’s office, located at 827 N. Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, up to and including on Election Day.
Regular hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Additional hours: Saturday July 23rd 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday July 24th 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday July 30th 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday July 31st 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Election Day hours: Tuesday August 2nd 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Scio will be voting on the following nominees and proposals as listed below:
The Primary Election will be held for the purpose of electing Candidates to the offices of State Governor, U.S. Congressional Representative, State Senator, State Representative, County Commissioner, Township Trustee, Delegate to County Convention, and Judge of District Court.
And, for Township voters residing in the Dexter Community Schools district, to vote on the following proposal:
DEXTER COMMUNITY SCHOOLS RECREATION MILLAGE PROPOSITION
Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in the Dexter Community Schools, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties, Michigan, be increased by and the board of education be authorized to levy not to exceed 1 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 20 years, 2022 to 2041, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for operating a system of public recreation and playgrounds; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect for such recreation program if the millage is approved and levied in 2022 is approximately $1,441,238?
