May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Please join us for another informational session in our DEI Educational Series. These discussions offer the opportunity to learn about issues around diversity and inclusion, to ask questions, share your experiences, and garner a better understanding of what others go through.
Experts in their field will address the disparities in our health care system, how and why access to care is different for certain demographic groups, and how to support and help those with mental illness. Washtenaw County Community Mental Health (WCCMH) will talk about how to identify signs when an employee, or colleague, may be experiencing or approaching a mental health crisis and best practices you can adopt to foster a healthy and inclusive workplace.
Guest speakers include Suzie Antonow (Trinity Health St Joe Ann Arbor), Judy Gardner (National Alliance Mental Illness - NAMI Washtenaw), Lisa Gentz (WCCMH) and Sheriff Jerry Clayton (Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office). Hear how these organizations work together to reduce the stigma and eliminate discrimination surrounding mental health conditions.
Registration* is required as seating is limited. Please register here.
*includes breakfast and networking
