NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - ZONING MAP AMENDMENTS

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during a special

meeting on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. in the Freedom Township Hall (11508

Pleasant Lake Road) to invite public comment on an application from Mason Horning to amend

the Official Zoning Map, under authority of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (Public Act 110

of 2006, as amended, being MCL 125.3101 et seq.), to rezone the following tract of land from AR (Agricultural-Resource) to the I-1 (Industrial-Research) zoning district:

Approximately 18.037-acres of land located to the south and west of the Panhandle Eastern

pipeline facility and adjacent Consumers Energy Freedom Compressor Station at 12201 Pleasant

Lake Road in the western 1/2 of the northwest 1/4 of Section 21 that is part of a larger 87.76-acre

parcel #N-14-21-200-002 and is further described as follows:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

A part of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 21, Town 4 South, Range 3 East, Freedom Township,

Washtenaw County, Michigan described as: Commencing at the Northwest Corner of said Section

21; thence along the West line of said Section and the Centerline of Fletcher Road South 02°15’43”

East 655.31 feet; thence along the Centerline of Pleasant Lake Road North 84°05’04” East 120.25

feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing North 84°05‘04” East 210.40 feet; thence

South 02°15’43” East 722.86 feet; thence South 01°32’22” East 300.09 feet; thence North

88°42’25” East 959.15 feet; thence South 12°48’41” West 193.67 feet; thence South 44°26’38”

West 798.45 feet; thence South 79°13’47” West 202.34 feet; thence North 27°56’15” West 769.91

feet; thence North 02°15’43” West 1096.33 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing

18.037 acres of land, more or less.
