The Chelsea Area Garden Club (CAGC) will host its annual Spring Garden Treasures and Plant-a-Palooza, Saturday, May 16th, 9-1 pm , at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot on South Main at Old US 12.
Potted perennial plants, tools, pots, books, furniture, and a large variety of other used garden goods will be available. The garden club is accepting cash, checks, credit card donations for all items. This fundraiser supports the CAGC community grants and scholarships.
CAGC was founded in 1997. Its objectives are to stimulate the love of gardening, to promote environmentally responsible horticultural practices, to assist in community beautification, and
to encourage conservation practices through education, field trips, workshops, and demonstrations.
CAGC plants and maintains the Spring and Summer flower beds on Main St in Chelsea. The club also donates yearly to the Chelsea District Library’s children and adult gardening book collections.
