Dexter Twp: Notice of Zoning Ordinance Adoption

NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION

TO:     THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF DEXTER, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

TAKE NOTICE. On May 20, 2025, the Township Board of Dexter Township adopted a resolution to amend relevant portions of Section 24.03 of the Dexter Township Zoning Ordinance which revises language to clarify which lots cannot be divided, sold, or modified in a manner that increases nonconformity and provides an exemption for lots of record created before the ordinance’s effective date, provided they meet certain criteria related to lot area, frontage, access and lot width. The effective date is June 10, 2025. Copies of the ordinance are available at dextertownshipmi.gov or at Dexter Township Hall at 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Road, Dexter, MI, 48130.
