Saline Soccer Bid for SEC Red Title Comes Up Short

The Saline girls’ soccer team saw its bid for a SEC Red title come up just short after a 1-1 draw with league leading Skyline last week.

The Hornets needed a win in its final game against the Eagles to earn the points to take the title, but a draw ended any hopes of the conference crown.

Sadie Walsh scored for the Hornets, but it wasn’t enough as Skyline held on for the draw.

The title matchup was set up by a Hornets 8-0 pasting of Dexter earlier in the week.

Sienna Snyder led the way with a pair of goals for the Hornets. Bettina Soares, Walsh, Cora Conley, Anika Sadek, Nora Walsh, and Laynie Tousa added goals for the Hornets.
