Sally Koch

Sally Koch, 68, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2025. A lifelong resident of Dexter, Sally was known for her selflessness, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In honoring Sally’s memory, her family asks that she be remembered not by the sadness of her passing but by the joy she brought to others throughout her life.

Sally is survived by her three children: Sierra Koch, Sam (Katie) Koch, and Cabrina Koch; grandchildren Ivy, Theo, and Arlo Koch; siblings Ed Boullion, Sam Boullion, Jane (Roger) Boyce, Marcee (Frank) Bobo, Beth (Richard) Chamberlin, and Rita (Mike) Campbell; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Koch; her parents, John and Mary Boullion; her sister, Carol Boullion; her sister-in-law Leann Boullion; her cousin Karen Ledwidge; and her niece Katelyn Campbell.

Sally lived life on her own terms, always embracing adventure. She cherished time with family and friends, loved dancing the night away, and had a passion for horseback riding. Her door was always open to those in need, whether for a friendly chat, a much-needed haircut, or a place to stay. Fiercely independent, Sally raised her three children on her own, never hesitating to go above and beyond for them.

In retirement, Sally enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—whether it was taking in a riverboat ride in New Orleans, attending a Rock ‘n’ Roll concert, or teaching her grandkids new board games. She was an expert sharpshooter and never stopped pursuing new hobbies and passions.

We will celebrate Sally’s life and love for music with a band and dancing at the Dexter American Legion on Saturday, March 22, 2025, dinner 5:00 to 7:00 PM with live music to follow.
