The Milan Boys Varsity baseball team dropped two against New Boston Huron and then defeated Whitmore Lake in a double header.
The Big Reds took on Huron on April 27 in a home game that saw them lose 7-0. Pitcher Roman Stubbe gave up three unearned runs on three hits in nearly three innings on the mound. Hunter Strimpel came on in relief and gave up four runs, three of which were earned, while also striking out two and walking two.
Then on April 29, Milan again fell to Huron in an away game by a score of 11-0. Pitcher Brady Mick surrendered five runs on four hits in the game. Seth Wollam led the Big Reds with one hit in two at bats.
On May 2, Milan traveled to Whitmore Lake for a double header that saw them winning both by scores of 6-2 and 14-3.
In the first game, the Big Reds had 10 hits with Mick going 3-4 at the plate and Connor Bush with two runs batted in. Cameron Dessellier earned the win on mound with six strike outs and only giving up two hits and no runs.
In the second game, Scottie Brewer drove in five runs on two hits to lead the Big Reds to another victory. RJ Borieo and Dessellier also had two RBIs with James Flaten hitting one as well. Stubbe was the winning pitcher, giving up zero runs and one hit.
