The slumping Chelsea baseball team bounced back by taking two of three games from Pinckney last week.
The Bulldogs rolled to a pair of 12-0 wins Thursday, May 17.
Chelsea score five in the third and four in the fifth to pull away in the opener.
Grant Barrett led the offense with three hits and three RBI. Carson Robinson and Hunter Lay added three hits and one RBI. Gavin Bell and Thomas Steele had two hits each, while Kyle Knight added one. Nick Christian struck out seven and allowed three hits for the win.
The Bulldogs took an early 4-0 lead in the second game and scored four in the sixth and four in the seventh to pull away.
Robinson had a big game with three hits and four RBI, followed by Barrett and Hunter Neff with three hits and two RBI each. Steele had three hits and one RBI and freshman Joe Taylor had a hit and RBI.
Robinson went the distance on the mound, striking out six and allowing six hits.
The Bulldogs needed a win in the third game to clinch a share of the SEC White title, but came up short a they fell to the Pirates 5-4.
Pinckney took a 3-0 lead in the first and the lead was 4-1 after three.
The Bulldogs started to chip away at the lead but could not complete the comeback.
