The Chelsea baseball team came away with a big series win after taking two of three games from Pinckney to move into a tie with the Pirates for second place in the SEC White.
Chelsea rallied for two runs in the seventh with a Mason Meads two-run double to tie the game at 5-5, but the Pirates won it with a walk off in the bottom of the eighth for a 6-5 win.
Meads finished with two hits and two RBI, while Jimmy Sciackitano had three hits and an RBI. Preston Paoletti had two hits and a run scored, Nate Christian a hit and two RBI, and Max Herter, Will McCalla, and Luke Anstead with a hit and run scored each.
The second game was much like the first with Chelsea scoring three runs in the 7th to break a 7-7 tie and take a 10-7 lead.
Pinckney scored twice in the seventh, but Christian got a strikeout to end the game for a 10-9 Bulldogs win.
Paoletti had another big game with three hits and three RBI, including a run scoring triple in the seventh.
Anstead added three hits and an RBI and Christian two hits and three RBI. Nathan Sobiechowski added a hit and run scored, Kyle Jahr a hit and two RBI, and Jacob Sisler a hit and RBI.
Christian earned the win on the mound with three strikeouts in three innings of relief work.
Chelsea used a big six run sixth inning to pull out a 12-7 win Wednesday to win the series.
Herter had a huge game with four hits and an RBI.
Anstead had three hits and three RBI and Paoletti three hits and one RBI. Logan Hoyt-Tracy added two hits and two RBI, Sciackitano a hit and two RBI, McCalla, Christian, and Meads a hit and run scored each.
Paoletti earned the win with three innings of scoreless relief with one strikeout.
The Bulldogs saw Lumen Christi score four times in the sixth to pull out a 4-2 win over Chelsea.
McCalla had two hits and a RBI, while Paoletti had two hits and two runs scored, and Christian two hits.
Chelsea split a doubleheader with Livonia Churchill taking the first game 5-1 and dropping the second 10-4.
