Chelsea’s Brian Tillman was the lone area representative at the state golf finals and Tillman came home with a tie for 42nd place at the D2 finals at Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing.
Tillman finished with a two-round total of 158 to tie for the 42nd spot with three other golfers.
He shot a six-over par 78 on Friday, which included an even par back nine for Tillman.
The front nine continued to plague Tillman on Saturday, going out with a five over 51, before finishing the back with a 39 for a round of 80 and the two-day total of 158.
Will Preston of Grand Rapids Catholic Central shot a one-under 141 to win the individual state title.
