  • Approval of Reappointment to Zoning Board of Appeals (Mayor Pacheco)MOTION Keaton SECONDED Iannelli to reappoint Jamie Lane to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a term ending September 30, 2028. All ayes. Motion carried.
  • Approve at First Reading of Ordinance No. 191 – Deer Feeding (Attorney Fink)

  • Approval of Agreement with Lofts at Rockwell for EGLE Brownfield Development Grant (Community Development Consultant Montagno)

MOTION Merkel SECONDED Keaton to approve the Agreement Between the City of Chelsea and the Lofts at Rockwell LLC for the EGLE Brownfield Redevelopment Grant. All ayes. Motion carried.

  • Approval of Purchase of Smart Meters for Electric Department (Operations Manager Stevens)

MOTION Merkel SECONDED Iannelli to approve the purchase of smart meters from Tantalus for a 5-year budgeted item for a total sum of $909,467.50. All ayes. Motion carried

  • Approval of Budget Amendment for Salary Allocation (Finance Director King)

MOTION Henson SECONDED Keaton to amend the 2025-2026 budget to reflect the reallocation of the Assistant City Manager position’s Salary to the Utility Director position. All ayes. Motion carried.

  • Chelsea Area Fire Authority Millage Update (Fire Chief Arbini)

CLOSED SESSION

MOTION Iannelli SECONDED Keaton to enter into closed session to consider the purchase or lease of real property up to the time an option to purchase or lease that real property is obtained; and to consider material exempt from discussion or disclosure by state or federal statute. All ayes. Motion carried.

MOTION Henson SECONDED Keaton to exit the CLOSED SESSION and return to the regular session. All ayes. Motion carried.

MOTION Merkel SECONDED Iannelli to direct the City Manager and City Attorney to pursue more information in relation to the real property discussed in closed session. All ayes. Motion carried.
